Until the beginning of December 2021, all lecturers at Universität Hamburg were able to apply with innovative teaching concepts in the first call for applications for the Data Literacy Teaching Lab. The interdisciplinary selection committee consisting of students, professors and a representative of the eLearning offices reviewed 24 applications from all faculties (incl. UKE) as well as teaching and research-related institutions at UHH.
The commission's decision was made in mid-January: 14 teaching projects will be funded for two semesters in the Data Literacy Teaching Lab from 1 April. All of the approved projects are particularly committed to providing students with a basic understanding of data practices and encouraging critical reflection in subject-specific, interdisciplinary or transfer-oriented courses. Innovative didactic teaching concepts in digital and hybrid formats are also trialled in the teaching projects.
