Learning Barriers in Text- and Video Vignettes – A Comparative Analysis of Different Formats
The research project deals with the question how student teachers perceive learning barriers at school. We will examine if and how the assessment of learning barriers varies in the same teaching scenario, if they are offered as a text or as a video. We will develop text vignettes with different classroom management characteristics: descriptions of procedural structures, monitoring and handling of rules and routines. We will create a questionnaire in which the probands will assess the text vignettes regarding characteristics and learning barriers. Afterwards the vignettes will be used as templates for videos. In a comparative study investigate if the recognition of barriers differs in the videos and text vignettes.
