Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and the like raise many questions, and not just at the University of Hamburg - from the fundamental aims of higher education to new practical options for organising your own teaching and specific aspects of examination law. Our series of events and community of practice "AI Hands-On’ focuses on precisely these aspects. At the event on the question ‘What new things do students need to learn for their studies in times of generative AI?".
We look forward to your registration:
- Date: Wednesday, 15 January 2025
- Time: 09:00 to 12:00
- Location: Von-Melle-Park 9, 20146 Hamburg, Room A215
(Generative) AI has opened up new possibilities for all of us - including students. While on the one hand there are calls for better plagiarism checking tools, we would like to approach the topic from a didactic perspective and, in a joint research project between DDLitLab and HUL, have addressed the question of what new knowledge and skills students need in order to use AI responsibly and constructively in their studies.
In this AI Hands-On we will present and discuss our approach and results. We will also look together at how you can and would like to incorporate these topics into your own teaching - or perhaps already do so as an example of good practice?
Would you also like to stay up to date on further events and current developments? Then sign up for the "gAI-Teaching" mailing list and become part of the Community of Practice at the University of Hamburg.
