Discussion series DDLitLab in dialogue WiSe 2024/2025

In our discussion series DDLitLab in Dialogue, we get to the bottom of current perspectives, projects and debates on data and digital skills in the context of innovative university teaching together with experts. The aim is to create an open space in which participants can share their experiences and thoughts with selected speakers on current developments.

Both members of the UHH and external guests are cordially invited to actively participate in our discussion rounds!

The face-to-face part will take place at Jungiusstraße 11C, 20355 Hamburg, Room C109. You can join in digitally via Zoom.

13.11.2024, 14-15h: Development of subject-related AI communities and implementation of a course on AI and ML: Best practices from the "AI- SKILLS" project at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - Dr rer. nat. Lilian Löwenau

The BMBF-funded teaching and infrastructure project AI-SKILLS at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin aims to provide teachers and students with a research-based and application-orientated approach to AI methods and technologies. The project pursues a multidisciplinary approach, i.e. all disciplines are represented in the communities of practice, each of which is dedicated to the topics of AI and ML. As part of the DDLitLab, the concrete development of such communities will be presented using the example of AI-SKILLS; experiences with the initialisation and productive phase of the communities will be shared and both practical aspects and necessary measures for the sustainability and reusability of the work in the communities will be discussed. Beyond the aspect of the communities, the overall promotion of the topics of AI and ML in the university curriculum will be discussed at the end on the occasion of the organisation of a corresponding interdisciplinary lecture series.
