On 11 June, another Co.ol.Lab (Collaborative Online Lab) event took place at Universität Hamburg, this time with special participation from the DDLitLab teaching lab projects. The series of events is aimed at researchers and employees from all faculties, clusters and departments at the university who are interested in a wide-ranging exchange on co-creative processes.
This time, the Co.ol.Lab was enriched by presentations from Eylem Tas, our DDLitLab transfer coordinator and initiator of the DDCo-Lab teaching lab project, and Anton Sefkow from the ‘Innovation by Legal Design Thinking (IbLDT)’ project. Both reported on their valuable insights and experiences from transfer projects in the teaching lab. The main topics were co-creative collaboration in data literacy education, the role of interdisciplinarity and cooperation with external experts. You can find out more about the projects on the specific project pages.
A central element of the discussion was how all perspectives can be taken into account in a seminar through the use of design thinking in order to develop data-based, user-centred prototypes. The report on the IbLDT project, in which law and computer science students worked together on the digitalisation of a real process of a cooperation partner, was particularly exciting. This collaboration impressively illustrated how interdisciplinary teams can develop innovative and practical solutions using co-creative methods.
The event not only offered valuable methodological and thematic input, but also the opportunity to learn from each other in an informal exchange and to share their own challenges in a co-creative context. The Co.ol.Lab was the perfect setting for inspiring and practical insights into co-creative processes.
