We have launched the DDLitLab Lecture Series to engage in a lively exchange with interested parties and to stimulate discussion on the topic of data and digital literacy at Universität Hamburg.
In the 2022 summer semester, the hybrid lecture series will focus on the topic of ‘Data Literacy Education’. Under the motto ‘Data literacy for all - but how?’, three speakers, including an international guest speaker, will present their model of interdisciplinary data literacy education at their university.
Our programme of events:
- Tuesday, 10 May 2022, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.: ‘Data Science Education at Berkeley’, Eric Van Dusen, University of California, Berkeley
- Tuesday, 14.06.2022, 16.00 to 18.00: ‘Data Literacy in the Mainz Studium generale - framework conditions, goals, experiences’, Dr Andreas Hütig, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz
- Tuesday, 12 July 2022, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.: ‘Data Driven x - interdisciplinary data literacy education at Leuphana University Lüneburg’, Prof. Dr Burkhardt Funk, Leuphana University Lüneburg
The event is aimed at both UHH members and external guests.
You can join digitally via Zoom. The face-to-face part will take place in lecture theatre ESA H, Main Building Edmund-Siemers-Allee 1, 20146 Hamburg. After the lectures, we would like to continue the dialogue with the audience at a get-together with finger food and drinks.
Please register for the respective presentations, indicating whether you would like to attend in person or digitally, by sending an informal email to Carolin Scharfenberg at: ddlitlab.isa@uni-hamburg.de.
We look forward to seeing you!
